Remodeling of master bedroom bathroom includes therapeutic Kohler footbath/spa. Design features limestone tiled floor and walls, magnificent granite countertops, make-up station, and Roburn medicine cabinets with enhanced lighting. The “design intent” was to open-up the bathroom to create a more inviting, updated space, with more behind closed doors storage, and a therapeutic shower which also allowed the homeowner to bathe grandchildren.
The shower, Kohler’s BodySpa 10 jet system includes 10 adjustable jets, a waterfall for neck and shoulder massage; all fully adjustable with the touch of a button from a gentle stream to an ultra intense rush in the style of a Swedish massage. The slide-out seat enables more intense hydro-massage of
the lower back and shoulders. Custom cabinetry was milled and installed to
match existing vanity casework. Roburn’s PLM and Design Logic medicine cabinets allowed the flexibility to mix and match cabinets, ultimately to provide a make-up station with color corrected dimmable florescent light tubes on the medicine cabinet. Simply removing 11.5 sq/ft of wall allowed the master bedroom to open to the bedroom. Lighting improvements included recessed cans with specular trim by Lightolier, which allowed the greatest flexibility given the concrete building construction and shallow ceiling cavity.
"We had an exceptionally good experience with J. Francis Company during and after the renovation of our master bedroom and bathroom. Our high level of satisfaction primarily came from: throughout the entire project J. Francis Company kept our property clean, neat & safe, respecting & enabling our family to live comfortably. Throughout our project J. Francis Company provided innovative space saving improvements actually doubling our storage space & greatly expanding the livability of the area. The quality of the work exceeded our expectation. When the started our project we were primarily interested in cost, at the close we appreciated the value of J. Francis overall competence."
